I’m feeling ‘bout as worthless as a worn out shoe

I don’t know what I’m gonna do

Heaven won’t you shine your light on me

I could be in paradise and still feel bad

I lost the best friend that I ever had

Heaven won’t you shine your light on me

The sun is rising as it sets

With no room for regrets

But tell that to this aching heart of mine

So shine     Please shine     Please shine

I don’t like to complain but it’s still not clear

What it is that we’re doing here

Mercy in the world is hard to see

Children go hungry and we still have wars

We don’t know what we are fighting for

Heaven only love can set us free

I’ve thought a lot/I don’t know about you

What it is we’re supposed to do

Heaven won’t you shine your light on us

Once I was blind/ Now I can’t see

If there is a place for me
